This afternoon we visited an Antiques Market just off the Pedestrian Street (the main shopping area in Lanzhou). You never know what you'll find at the markets here!

Two local young people, Scott Hay and Marcia Jones, were chosen to spend four months this year in Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu, for four months, funded by the Gansu provincial government.They will attend university, learn Mandarin and be immersed in the culture and history of China. They will spend time in the Gansu Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, and visit various sites of cultural and historical interest in the Province - CCC Sister Cities Website
